Where are we at in our Chronological Journey?
If you began with me on Day 1 of this year, February 16, we began Bible studies in the book of Leviticus. If you are familiar with Leviticus, you know all the sacrifices and regulations can be tedious to read. However, these are some of the richest Bible studies, and you can’t fully appreciate God or the sacrifice of Christ without it. Join us!

What is a Chronological Bible?
The Biblical events, people, and writings are arranged in Chronological order, unlike standard Bibles.
Why is the Bible not chronological?
About 1/2 of the Bible is chronological.
- The historical section from Genesis–Esther is mostly chronological.
- The prophets were, for the most part, not interested in chronology because their Jewish audience already knew their history. Instead, the prophets proclaimed the messages of God much as a minister gives sermons.
- In the New Testament, the gospel accounts of the life of Christ and the book of Acts are mostly chronological.
- The book of Revelation is apocryphal but the events for the most part are sequential.
